Bio:
Ebony R. Gooden is an emerging artist, filmmaker, and activist based in Calgary, Alberta. She holds a BA in digital communication and visual/multimedia arts from Gallaudet University. Ebony has received multiple grants from the Alberta Foundation of Arts, Canada Council for the Arts and the Calgary Arts Development for her research and creation projects, including "Running Through Her Past," "The Deaf World," and "Miscommunication in Our Language." She is the co-founder of SURVIVANCE Collective and the Black Deaf Residency and has worked as a filmmaker for various productions. Ebony has also directed in few theater productions, including "After Faust" in Edmonton, Alberta and "SURVIVANCE: Monologue" in Remis, France.

Biographie :
Ebony R. Gooden est une artiste émergente, une cinéaste et une activiste basée à Calgary, en Alberta. Elle est titulaire d'une licence en communication numérique et en arts visuels/multimédias de l'université Gallaudet. Ebony a reçu de nombreuses subventions de l'Alberta Foundation of Arts, du Conseil des Arts du Canada et du Calgary Arts Development pour ses projets de recherche et de création, notamment «Running Through Her Past», «The Deaf World» et «Miscommunication in Our Language». Elle est co-fondatrice du collectif SURVIVANCE, de la Black Deaf Residency et a travaillé comme réalisatrice pour diverses productions. Ebony a également réalisé quelques productions théâtrales, dont «After Faust» à Edmonton (Alberta) et «SURVIVANCE : Monologue» à Remis (France).
