Bio:
Born and raised in an agricultural community in eastern Ontario. Robert worked his way through post-secondary and obtained a master's degree in cultural studies. His thesis was ground-breaking research on how Deaf dyads maintain conversation in sign language as they navigate through space. The research contributed to formulation of DeafSpace design principles and have been applied to a number of multi-millions buildings and facilities master plans documents. After having worked under Gallaudet University office of campus design & planning, he engaged in a number of architectural projects and research on design throughout North America. Including doing feasibility study for Canadian Administration Video-Relay and design & building project at Washington School for the Deaf and Texas School for the Deaf.

Biographie :
Né et grandi dans une communauté agricole de l'est de l'Ontario. Robert a suivi des études supérieures et a obtenu une maîtrise en études culturelles. Sa thèse était une recherche novatrice sur la façon dont les dyades de Sourds maintiennent une conversation en langue des signes lorsqu'ils se déplacent dans l'espace. Cette recherche a contribué à la formulation des principes de conception «DeafSpace» et a été appliquée à un certain nombre de bâtiments de plusieurs millions d'euros et à des documents de plans directeurs d'installations. Après avoir travaillé pour le bureau de conception et de planification du campus de l'Université Gallaudet, il s'est engagé dans un certain nombre de projets architecturaux et de recherches sur la conception à travers l'Amérique du Nord. Il a notamment réalisé une étude de faisabilité pour le relais vidéo de l'administration canadienne, ainsi que des projets de conception et de construction à Washington School for the Deaf et au Texas School for the Deaf.
